Milestone Opens Second Permian Facility
HOUSTON and MIDLAND, Texas – November 28, 2017– Milestone Environmental Services (Milestone), an industry leader in oil and gas waste management, has opened its state-of-the-art facility to serve Permian customers in the Midland Basin.
The location, 25 miles south of Midland on State Highway 349, is conveniently situated on 20 acres in the heart of the southern Midland Basin drilling activity. At this new site, Milestone will primarily accept drilling waste streams, including water based mud and oil based mud, along with some completion and production waste. The facility started receiving shipments from customers in November and will have a grand opening on December 7.
Customer Service
“Utilizing the South Midland facility, our E&P customers are seeing a dramatic improvement in their efficiency and reduction in transportation costs. Our location near Midkiff is in close proximity to a great number of rigs giving our customers the advantage of environmentally-responsible waste management nearby,” said Regional Sales Manager Doug Shanks. “This facility was also designed to provide efficient full-service washouts for trucks and frac tanks with quick turnaround times.”

Shannon Oliver is Operations Manager of South Midland. Doug Shanks is the Regional Sales Manager of the Permian Basin. Clifford Clinton was promoted to Operations Manager of the Pecos facility.

“We designed the South Midland facility to minimize the impact on the environment and the community. Because of our location, truck trip times and traffic will be reduced along the highways. Our long entrance road will avoid truck queues along the highway,” said Shannon Oliver, operations manager of the facility. “We situated the facility on more acreage to decrease noise, lights and dust for neighbors. We encourage truck drivers not to use their engine brakes or park along the highway.”
