Stanton Opening
HOUSTON and MIDLAND, Texas – August 20, 2018 – Milestone Environmental Services (Milestone), an industry leader in oil and gas waste management, has opened its seventh state-of-the-art facility to serve E&P customers. The Stanton facility in Glasscock County is 10 miles south of Stanton, near the intersection of Highway 137 and County Road 470.
At this new site in the Midland Basin, Milestone will primarily accept drilling waste streams, including water-based mud and oil-based mud, along with some completion and production waste such as tank bottoms and water waste streams. Full service truck washout services are also available at each of the Milestone locations.
The facility started receiving shipments from customers in August and is operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Milestone will host a grand opening at the facility on Thursday, Sept. 13.
“With the addition of the Stanton and Orla facilities this year, Milestone is the clear leader in slurry waste disposal in the Permian Basin. We are positioned for extraordinary growth in the most prolific drilling region in the U.S.,” said Gabriel Rio, president and CEO. “We have assembled an incredibly talented team that has enabled us to develop new facilities quickly, operate them safely and efficiently, and provide excellent service to our customers. Milestone is not stopping here – we expect to continue to add additional facilities in the coming year, making environmentally-sustainable management of oilfield waste more accessible for our customers.”
Job Opportunities
At Milestone, employees have access to competitive wages, affordable comprehensive benefits, onsite company-provided housing, and the chance to build a career. The company hired 15 additional employees to operate and support the new Stanton facility, plus local sales personnel to support customers. In keeping with the company’s philosophy of promoting from within, Milestone also advanced several employees from within the company.
Commitment to the Environment and Community
Milestone is a leader in environmentally-sustainable oilfield waste management and committed to being a good neighbor, environmental steward and corporate citizen. The Stanton facility is designed to minimize the impact on the environment and the community.
The facility will minimize waste by reusing salt water, recovering oil and capturing solids. By locating facilities near drilling activity, Milestone reduces truck trip times and traffic along the highways which benefits the community and saves customers time and money. The facility is situated on acreage designed to decrease noise, lights and dust for neighbors.
Celebrating 25 years in 2018
